There are so many online chat rooms designed even for youth only and although they state that, what really prevents a chat site from any old pervert "WEX-OFFENDER" (web/sex offender)posing as a younger person? Is there any real way to protect our youth online? The answer is no. If you think becuase they have a special "pet" they have purchased that they are protected think again. As though social security fraud no longer exists. There is no way to prevent these freaks from loggin on to even the most protected sites with all their fradulent information. As the youth grow computer saavy at school and friends' houses they will be uploading pictures in no time. Old pervs continue to browse online with their fake photos and personas. I call these freaks "WEX OFFENDERS"(web sex offenders), Eventually the chat will no longer satisfy them and like any other addict they must move forward to satisfy their addiction. Don't let your child fall victim to this spider WEB. Really parents make sure you are always around when the internet is connected. Keep the computer out of their rooms and in the kitchen or somewhere you can guarantee a second set of eyes are available. The inernet is a crime connecter not a babysitter.

This type of crime is one way the government has thankfully been allowed to catch many of these predators who not only use the internet to spy on our children, but they also clearly act on these impulses. These sickos are everywhere and sadly the justice system is not too concerned about really prosecuting them. This is why they have to have so much video and documentation before they can even pursue charges against them. Thank GOD for the television show to catch a predator. Websites like Camfrog, Skype, or any site that promotes live video chat is a perverts playground and should be closely monitored by the parent and spouse. If you have access to these sites you need to keep an eye on your family. More and more these peadophiles are being reported and sadly the only ones who even cause friction in the justice system are those of political or famous actors/actress, school or religious authorities however they are everywhere. You do not need to be a well known or well respected person to be a sick sociopathic child molestor. Sadly this is where our justice systems draw the line. Unless you are one of the above, your case will more than likely get brushed under the rug, because the DA will not spend a penny on your case. Since you are not famous the media will not be drawing any attention to this injustice either. Good luck and please set boundries for your family and make sure your web-cam is in a local area of your home. If your child has a camera that is within their laptop make sure you have secured settings on it so that they are unable to access websites that promote video chat.
